Ferry connecting between Andøya (Vesterålen) and Senja. Nice boat ride with the possibility to spot whales. (At least that happened when we took the ferry the last times) In July it is highly recommended to be at the port 2-3 hours before departure. The first depature is very early - some Arctic Campers are even stay in the line over the night. It is a very popular route and the ferry has little capacity. You buy the tickets when you drive onto the boat. It is not possible to make a reservation. The Andenes - Gryllefjord Ferry is only active in summer.

You will find the ferry times on this website.

OUR TIP: Visit Northern Norway in Winter and rent a winter-ready camper van in Tromsø. Find out more here: Chasing the Northern Lights in a camper van.
