If you want to get a first impression of what the Lyngen Alps are all about, this hike will definitely give you a great insight. The 3-hour hike (with return) will reward you with an amazing view over the blue - turquoise water of the glacier lake Blåvatnet. Above the lake the Lenangsbreen glacier is loudly crunching its ice. From the parking you will find a well-marked path and it is easy to hike with little acclivity. You will walk all along a river in the old glacier bed. The path becomes more stony the closer you come to the lake. "This barren landscape has its own charm. Rocky, giving little space to vegetation - formed by ice in the past thousand years. Every now and then a daffy pine tree braving the Arctic harshness. Finally the reward for all this is clunking in - Strange Color Blue."
