About Arctic Campers in Norway

Arctic Campers – a success story that has been ongoing for over a decade and continues to thrive. In 2014, Mike and Henning, long-time travel buddies, turned their passion for the camper lifestyle into Arctic Campers, starting with just three self-built mini camper vans on the Lofoten Islands. By 2016, they shifted operations to Tromsø, and in 2017, expanded with a third camper van rental station near Oslo Gardermoen Airport.

Now, Arctic Campers is Norway’s largest camper van rental company, operating from two stations with over 25 team members during the high season. Many of our team members have been with us for years, reflecting our commitment to a positive work environment and great customer service.

The secret to our success? We live the camper van life ourselves! Every core team member is an outdoor enthusiast with their own camper van, making us true local experts in wild camping across Norway. At pick-up, we love sharing insider tips and practical advice to help guests discover the best spots for adventure and navigate their journey with confidence.

Safe Adventures, Quality, and Care for Nature

Norwegian nature can be unpredictable, with sudden weather changes or harsh winter conditions. These challenges don’t occur every day, but they have happened—and our strength has always been in supporting our guests. Our campers are fully winter-equipped, and we provide road condition updates to ensure safety throughout your journey.

We constantly improve our operations, which is why more than 10,000 guests have trusted us to explore Norway’s wilderness over the past decade. Our team is hands-on in designing, building, and maintaining the fleet, ensuring our vans are perfectly suited for Norway’s rugged terrain.

At Arctic Campers, we believe that exploring Norway’s beauty should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we offer affordable camper van rentals without compromising on quality, so you can experience the adventure with the best service and equipment.

We are proud members of the environmental organization Leave No Trace, and we teach our guests the Leave No Trace principles of keeping Norway’s nature pristine and untouched.
