The Alta Canyon at Sautso is one of the largest canyons in Northern Europe. A marked path of about 6,3 km leads from the Sautso car park, at about 410 metres, along the high ground towards the canyon.
On the way out the path climbs about 100 metres and drops about 185 metres, and the same again on the way back. Plan about 4,5 hours both ways.
Stay well back from the canyon edge: the walls are sheer.
