Hereiane lies on the road Fv550 between Svåsand and Herand, on the Folgefonn peninsula by the Hardangerfjord, part of the Norwegian Scenic Route Hardanger. Ice-scoured rocks and twisted pines reach from the fjord all the way up to the mountain peaks.
Its service building is one of the most striking of its kind in Norway: it combines an old building material, slate, with concrete and glass in strong colours.
Good to know: the toilets are open from early May to late October. Emptying the toilet of a camper or caravan is not allowed here.
