Trænafestivalen is a music festival on Træna, a small island community far out at sea off the Helgeland coast. Nine stages over four days in July, "lang te havs" – far out at sea – as the festival puts it. The Guardian called it "one of the best festivals in Europe that you've probably never heard of".
The 2026 festival was sold out, so get tickets early, and plan the crossing to the island in good time.
