At the top of the Trollstigen road, on the Norwegian Scenic Route Geiranger–Trollstigen, paths and steps lead out to a row of viewpoints. The largest platform juts out over a ledge 200 metres above the road as it snakes up the steep mountainside, with viewpoints for both bold and cautious visitors.
The buildings are designed by Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter. Look out for the toilet building: in summer the sheep that roam the area sometimes graze on its roof.
Good to know: the Trollstigen road is closed in winter, and the toilets are open from late May to mid-September. Emptying the toilet of a camper or caravan is not allowed here.
