Vinmonopolet is Norway’s state-owned wine shop and the only place where you can buy wine, spirits and beer stronger than 4,7 %. Supermarkets sell beer up to 4,7 % only. You must be 18 for wine and beer and 20 for spirits (22 % and more); bring ID. Most shops close early on Saturdays and are closed on Sundays and public holidays.
