Vinterfestuka is Narvik's yearly culture festival in late winter, a folk festival for all generations with music, art, history and traditions. It has seven decades of history behind it.
The Ofoten railway, the navvies (rallare) who built it and the women who kept the construction camps going are part of Narvik's foundation, and Vinterfestuka carries their stories on through music, traditional costumes, ceremonies and meetings between people. Lokstall1 is one of the festival's venues.
