Midnight Sun Marathon – Tromsø
About
The Midnight Sun Marathon is Tromsø's big running festival in June, when the sun does not set. It offers five distances, and in 2025 it set a new record with almost 9,000 runners from 88 nations. The race is a member of AIMS, and the courses are measured and certified.
It is as much a city festival as a race: the whole city comes out to cheer the runners on at the finish, and many come back year after year.
