Parking & Parking Fines
Parking in Norway
In Norway, the majority of public and private parking areas require a parking fee. Most parking payments can be made conveniently via an app. However, if you prefer not to use an app or if app payment is not available, you must pay at a ticket machine located at the parking area.
Please ensure that you purchase a parking ticket or start the parking app before leaving your car or camper. A valid parking ticket (whether from the app or a ticket machine) is also required in locations using Camera Pay. If Camera Pay is used or a parking fee goes unpaid, an administration fee of 150 NOK per incident will be charged by Arctic Campers, in addition to the parking fee itself.
Airport Parking
If you are parking at Tromsø or Oslo airports, be sure to pay the parking fee before leaving. Even for short stops, such as luggage drop-offs, a parking fee is required. There is only a short grace period before the parking company begins charging.
At Tromsø Airport, parking ticket machines can be found inside the terminal building.

Oslo app works for all parking that belong to the Oslo municipality.
Parking Fines
If you receive a parking fine, we strongly recommend paying it as soon as possible, ideally on the same day. In Norway, unpaid parking fines can quickly become expensive, as additional charges are applied shortly after the due date.
If you’re unable to make the payment while traveling, Arctic Campers can assist by processing the payment on your behalf. However, please note that we charge a service fee of 250 NOK per fine. Additionally, our leasing bank and handling company may apply further administrative fees. To avoid extra costs, it is always more economical to pay the fine yourself as soon as you receive it.
How to Use Our Payment Service
This service is only for Arctic Campers rental guests.
If you would like us to handle the payment for you, please follow these steps:
1. Send a clear photo of the parking fine to parking@arcticcampers.no on the same day you receive it.
2. When returning the car or camper, visit our rental office to pay the parking fine along with the service fee at the counter.
Paying the Fine Yourself
If you choose to pay the parking fine yourself, please ensure that you use the KID number provided on the fine as the payment reference. If the KID number is missing or incorrect, the payment cannot be assigned to your fine, meaning it will remain unpaid.
