Basic insurance

Every camper van rental includes Basic insurance, which provides coverage for incidents. However, in the event of an incident, you may be responsible for costs up to 20.000 NOK per incident, with the remainder covered by the insurance.

To reduce your liability, we recommend upgrading your insurance when booking your camper van.

Camper Van Insurance Options:

• SILVER:

Your liability is 10.000 NOK per incident.

• GOLD:

Your liability is 5.000 NOK per incident.

• PLATINUM:

Your liability is 0 NOK per incident.

• YOUNG DRIVER (Drivers under 26):

Your liability is 20.000 NOK per incident.

(You must be at least 20 years old to rent a camper van, and drivers under 26 years of age can only rent with the Young Driver insurance option.)

Please note that the self-risk fee also serves as a deposit and will be temporarily blocked on your credit card at pick-up. Additionally, RVs (vehicles equipped with a shower and toilet) have a different liability policy.

Unlimited mileage

No Limits! Enjoy unlimited mileage with your Arctic Campers rental. Drive as far as you want and explore without restrictions!

However, after over a decade of renting out camper vans up North, we have one tip - take your time, enjoy nature, and soak in the breathtaking landscapes of Norway.

Automatic transmission

All our camper vans and RVs come with automatic gearboxes. It doesn’t get easier than this - no shifting, just relax and enjoy the beauty of the Norwegian nature!

Rear view camera

This vehicle is equipped with a rear-view camera that displays the rear view when reversing.

Studded tires (Winter)

Stay safe on the road! All winter rentals come equipped with studded tires (spiked tires), making it much easier and safer to drive on icy roads.

Norwegian roads are very well maintained in winter, with snow clearance operating 24/7 to keep routes open and safe. Snow chains are not needed - studded tires will do the job perfectly!

Electric Heater (1.8kW)

Stay warm and cozy in cold weather with the 1.8 kW electric heater.

Simply connect your camper to the 230V campground power supply using the included outlet and cable, set the thermostat to your preferred temperature, and enjoy consistent warmth throughout the night.

Large bed (140x200 cm)

This camper van category features a spacious 140 x 200 cm bed, providing a comfortable and cozy sleeping experience for two people.

Bedding for two can be added as an extra when you make your reservation.

Slide-out kitchen

This camper is equipped with a slide-out kitchen in the rear, allowing you to cook your meals under the van’s large tailgate, which provides protection from rain or snow.

The kitchen includes:

• 2-burner gas stove

• Fridge

• Sink

• Two water containers (2 x 5 liter)

• Storage space

• Kitchen & cleaning kit

2-burner-gas stove

Cook like a chef! With a 2-burner gas stove, you can prepare dinner just like at home.

You can order the necessary gas cartridges when booking your camper or add them at pick-up for standard pricing. We sell isobutane gas cartridges, specially designed for cold weather use. Each cartridge lasts between 1 to 1.5 hours.

For a 5-day winter trip, we recommend having at least 3-4 gas cartridges, while for a 5-day summer trip, 2-3 cartridges should be sufficient.

Note: In rural areas, it is sometimes not easy to find gas cartridges, so it’s best to be prepared in advance.

Refrigerator

This camper is equipped with a slide-out refrigerator (Dometic®) powered by the extra camper battery. It offers excellent capacity and keeps your food cold day and night.

Kitchen sink

This camper category features a simple stainless steel sink without a drain. The sink can be pulled out from the kitchen block and has a capacity of 8.5 liters, making it perfect for washing dishes.

We strongly recommend adding biodegradable soap when booking your camper or at pick-up. This ensures that when disposing of the water, you minimize harm to nature.

Water container

This camper van category includes two 5-liter water containers, one of which is equipped with a water spout. To use running water, simply tilt the container over the sink.

For winter use in extreme temperatures, we recommend keeping at least one container in the front compartment while driving to prevent freezing. Alternatively, you can keep the parking heater on while driving to maintain a suitable temperature.

Kitchen & cleaning kit

The camper comes equipped with all the kitchen essentials you need for preparing and enjoying meals on the road, as well as a cleaning kit to keep everything tidy and convenient during your journey.

2 extra camper batteries

This camper is equipped with two large extra batteries (2 x 115Ah) to power the fridge, USB ports, and lights in the sleeping compartment.

The extra batteries are charged by solar panels on the roof, or you can connect the 230V outlet to the campsite power for direct power.

USB & 12V outlets

You’ll find USB-A and USB-C ports, as well as a 12-volt outlet in both the sleeping and driver’s compartments, allowing you to charge all your devices

Note: You can use the 12-volt port with a 12V to 230V converter for most devices, which you can book as an extra or get when you pick up the van.

However, please be aware that hairdryers are not allowed to be used with this converter! ??

Solar Panels

The 240W solar panels mounted on the roof charge two large extra batteries, which power the camper’s electrical system.

Campground Power 230V

You can connect the camper to campsite power outlet, which will charge the extra batteries and allow you to use the 230V outlets inside the camper van.
