Basic insurance

Every camper van rental includes Basic insurance, which provides coverage for incidents. However, in the event of an incident, you may be responsible for costs up to 20.000 NOK per incident, with the remainder covered by the insurance.

To reduce your liability, we recommend upgrading your insurance when booking your camper van.

Camper Van Insurance Options:

• SILVER:

Your liability is 10.000 NOK per incident.

• GOLD:

Your liability is 5.000 NOK per incident.

• PLATINUM:

Your liability is 0 NOK per incident.

• YOUNG DRIVER (Drivers under 26):

Your liability is 20.000 NOK per incident.

(You must be at least 20 years old to rent a camper van, and drivers under 26 years of age can only rent with the Young Driver insurance option.)

Please note that the self-risk fee also serves as a deposit and will be temporarily blocked on your credit card at pick-up. Additionally, RVs (vehicles equipped with a shower and toilet) have a different liability policy.

Unlimited mileage

No Limits! Enjoy unlimited mileage with your Arctic Campers rental. Drive as far as you want and explore without restrictions!

However, after over a decade of renting out camper vans up North, we have one tip - take your time, enjoy nature, and soak in the breathtaking landscapes of Norway.

Automatic transmission

All our camper vans and RVs come with automatic gearboxes. It doesn’t get easier than this - no shifting, just relax and enjoy the beauty of the Norwegian nature!

Studded tires (Winter)

Stay safe on the road! All winter rentals come equipped with studded tires (spiked tires), making it much easier and safer to drive on icy roads.

Norwegian roads are very well maintained in winter, with snow clearance operating 24/7 to keep routes open and safe. Snow chains are not needed - studded tires will do the job perfectly!

Air & water heater (6kW)

This RV features a powerful 6 kW diesel Truma air and water heater, ensuring the interior stays warm and the 10-liter hot water boiler is always ready. The heater operates independently of the vehicle engine, keeping you comfortable even when the engine is off. You can also connect the RV to a landline power source to switch to electric heating or combine diesel and electric for optimal efficiency.

2 large beds

This RV category features a fixed rear bed (194 × 152 cm) for two people and an EasySlide bed in the high roof (200 × 130 cm), also accommodating two people. Bedding can be added as an extra when making your reservation.

RV burner gas stove

Cook like a chef! With a 2-burner gas stove, you can prepare dinner just like at home.

For RVs with a diesel-powered heater, gas for the stove is included in your booking.

For RVs where the heater requires a gas supply, the stove draws from the same source and will therefore be powered by the mandatory gas bottle supplement added to your booking automatically.

Sink unit

This RV category is equipped with a durable stainless steel sink complete with an integrated drain. The sink connects to an 80 to 100-litre grey water tank, providing ample capacity for washing dishes and handling everyday kitchen use while on the road.

To help protect the natural environment, we strongly recommend adding biodegradable soap when booking your camper or at pick-up. Using eco-friendly products ensures that grey water disposal has minimal impact on surrounding nature.

Fresh water tank

This RV category includes a fresh water tank with a capacity of 80–100 litres, ensuring a reliable water supply throughout your journey.

For winter travel, we strongly recommend keeping the heater running at all times to protect the water system from freezing temperatures and to ensure optimal performance in cold conditions.

Extra camper battery

This camper is equipped with a large extra battery (115Ah) to power the fridge, parking heater ventilation, USB ports, and lights in the sleeping compartment.

The extra battery charges while driving, ensuring continuous comfort and functionality throughout your journey.

Rear view camera

This vehicle is equipped with a rear-view camera that displays the rear view when reversing.

Indoor table & seats

Bad weather outside? Cook, eat or work inside the camper by using the convertible table and benches. You can also use the table when the bed is build.
