NORWAY'S CAMPER RENTAL SINCE 2014

Fosselvfossen – Straumfjord

Waterfall

About

Fosselvfossen lies in Straumfjord, about 12 km north of Storslett in Nordreisa, right beside the E6. You can see it from the road, but the best view is from above: a path climbs along the river to open terrain overlooking the waterfall and the Straumfjord.

The hike: start at Fosselv Camping, where the pin is. A clear path follows the south side of the Fosselva uphill through the woods to the viewpoint – about 3,2 km return with 271 metres of ascent, 1–2 hours. Some sections are steep, and the route is partly marked in red. An alternative start is Sandnes Camping.

Tips for campers: a practical leg-stretcher on the E6 – with Fosselv Camping and Sandnes Camping right by the trail, you can stay the night here too. Wear good shoes: the steep path can be wet.
