Tungeneset and the Bergsbotn viewpoint look over the Okshornan peaks and the fjord, Ersfjord has its beach under the mountains, and Steinfjord and Laukvik give a wide view north.

Yes. Senja lies at 69 degrees north under the auroral oval, its outer coast is dark and faces north, and a Kp of 2 to 3 is usually enough when the sky is clear.

How far is Senja from Tromsø?

About two hours by road to Finnsnes and around three hours to the outer coast at Ersfjord and Tungeneset.
