Mountain Passes and Winter Closures in Norway

Norway's roads cross many mountain passes. Statens vegvesen keeps 23 national mountain passes open all year as far as possible, but after heavy snow or in storms they can close or have convoy driving. Some scenic roads close completely for the winter.
